Tuition

Tuition is due in advance according to the tuition schedule. One payment for the entire semester or five monthly payments are acceptable. Payments are due on the first lesson of each month. Unfortunately, tuition for missed lessons cannot be refunded. It is the  responsibility of the student to continue lessons through the  entire semester.

Make-up Lessons...

Lessons made up ONLY in  these six circumstances,
  •     the teacher misses a lesson

  •     adverse weather days

  •     death in the family

The following reasons qualify for a make-up lesson
with a  minimum of two weeks notice.

  •     participation in services of religious holidays.

  •     participation or attendance at a musical performance.

  •     participation in an extended school field trip.

Advance planning allows the best schedule options.

Auditions, Competitions, Performances

Students are encouraged to take part in school talent shows and various other auditions during the school year, according to their abilities. To assure the best possible preparation please inform me well in advance of  other performances.

The Student Achievement Testing program is hosted locally by the Ann Arbor Area Piano Teacher's Guild. February 23, 2008 is the level I-IV testing date, March 1, 2008 is the Level V-X Testing date.

National Guild Auditions do not have a set date or location yet, but are held in the spring.

Extra Performance Classes will be offered through the semester at no additional charge. Piano Performance is a skill that can best be learned through repetition in various settings.

The Enjoyment of Music

The enjoyment of music is a lifelong recreation. I am happy with the role I  play in the musical education of each student in my studio.

Termination of lessons

Although the student is responsible to continue lessons through the entire semester,  one month's advance notice for this occurrence eases the transition for student, parent, and teacher.
